Denise Renee Geier, age 42 of Durango, CO passed away on March 6, 2009, of pancreatic cancer at her parents residence in Lynden. She was born on Oct. 18, 1966 in Bellingham, Washington. Denise is survived by her children, Nicole Renee Burns and Joshua Wilson Brown; her two step-children Dirk and Drew Geier, and her loving grandchildren; parents Voy and Donna Eschbach; and sisters Teresa Timmons and Tami Daniels and their spouses. 

Denise graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and joined the United Sates Navy Reserves. While in the reserves, she married David Brown. Denise spent her working life as a Certified Nurses Aid and especially loved working with elderly people, which she got great joy out of. On September 28, 2002, Denise married Rodney Geier. They lived in Anacortes until moving to Vallecito Lake near Durango, CO. in 2007. 

They spent the winter of 2007 at Kino Bay (Mexico), which was one of Denise's most treasured memories. The light of her life and goal was to spoil her 3 grandchildren, Gracie, Emily and Eli. Her face would break out in a beautiful smile when she talked about them. She loved them dearly. She is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, nephews and friends. 

In honor of Denise, donations may be made to Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
